This 6 outlet model offers 2 always-on outlets for devices that you do not want turning off automatically, 1 master outlet and 3 controlled outlets (that are controlled by the master outlet). The current-sensing master outlet has 2 selectable switching thresholds (18w or 35w) to sense when the control device (such as a television or computer) is on or off, switching the controlled outlets on or off accordingly to eliminate unnecessary power use from devices plugged into those outlets. This model includes jacks to provide secondary surge protection for telephone, fax or data lines.
