SnackMiser® EZ (Primary with Sensor)

Vending machines typically run 24 hours a day, whether anyone is likely to use the machine or not. By powering down the machine when it is not needed, energy consumption can be significantly reduced. The SnackMiser EZ uses a passive infrared sensor (PIR) to power down a non-refrigerated vending machine when no one has been within 25' of the machine for the past 15 minutes. If a customer approaches the machine while powered down, SnackMiser EZ will sense the presence and power up immediately. In addition to reducing energy costs, this will lengthen the expected lifetime of the machine and reduces its exposure to voltage variances. SnackMiser EZ is a simple external plug-and-play product, being able to be installed directly onto the vending machine with Velcro®. One SnackMiser EZ preassembled for installation is included. To control multiple machines (up to 4), a SnackMiser EZ may be purchased without the PIR Sensor and controlled from the PIR sensor of the primary SnackMiser EZ by the 10' repeater cable.
