Black & Decker Thermal Leak Detector

Black & Decker's Thermal Leak Detector can help you discover where the energy leaks are in your home or business. Identify problem areas around drafty windows and doors, uncover hidden leaks around electrical outlets, recessed lights and along floor molding and insulation soft spots in walls, ceilings and floors. Easy to use: just direct the detector's infrared light at a wall to establish the reference temperature. Move it along surfaces in your house, when the measured surface temperature deviates by 1, 5 or 10F (user adjustable) relative to the reference temperature, the light will change to red or blue to indicate a hot or cold spot.
